Welcome Back, Lilburn Elementary Family!

I would like to take this opportunity to welcome everyone back to a new school year!  I hope each of you had a wonderful and relaxing summer.  We are gearing up for another fantastic school year and can hardly wait for your children to walk through our doors.  Many of our teachers spent much of their summer teaching summer school, attending or conducting professional learning, or completing graduate courses in preparation for providing the BEST possible educational experience for your children.  The staff has been working hard during the past few weeks in preparation for the first day of school, which starts on Monday, August 9, 2010.  Please take note of our new school hours.  Students will arrive at 7:45 a.m. and will be dismissed at 2:45 p.m.
 
On Thursday, August 5, 2010 between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., students who are new to Lilburn Elementary will return completed registrations packets (if picked up earlier) and visit their classroom teachers.  If you are a new or returning student who has not completed the registration process, you will be able to complete the required information for your child during this registration period.  All the information you will need regarding transportation, uniforms and PTA will be available during registration.  

Also, please join me as we welcome the following new members to our Lilburn Staff:
Amber Coker, kindergarten; Sally Corbett, 3rd grade; Kelly Reonas, 3rd grade; Dr. Margaret Hodges, counselor; Kathleen Mabry, assistant cafeteria manager; and Viktor Georgiyev, custodian.

As the new school year begins, we welcome your continued support.  By working together, we can help all of our children reach high levels of social and academic achievement.  Let’s make this a stellar year for all students at Lilburn Elementary School.
