Moose

Where do moose live?(habitat) They live mostly in the north part of the United States and Canada. They live in forest and they are often seen by streams, lakes and swamps grazing and drinking. 

What do moose look like?(appearance) They have long legs, thick brown fur, long snout, can grow to be 7 feet tall and weigh 600 to 1500 lbs. They have hump shoulders and a flap of skin under their throat. The males grow antlers each year that can grow up to 6 feet wide. They shed their antlers in October and begin to grow them again in the spring.

What are some interesting facts about moose?(other information) 

Mothers are very protective of their calves, they will sometimes charge people if they get too close. They have 1 to 2 calves each spring. 
They are good swimmers and move swiftly on land.
They cannot tolerate temperatures above 68 degrees fahrenheit for long.
The word "moose" itself comes from the Natik word "moos", meaning "the animal that strips bark off of trees".
Moose are the largest members of the deer family.
