The Krubera Cave is located in the Republic of Georgia and Abkhazia. The cave is near the Black Sea. It is on the continent of Asia. The cave is mostly made out of limestone. It is the deepest cave in the entire world. The depth of the cave is 7,190 feet deep (2,191 meters). The length of the cave is 8.346 miles long (13.432 kilometers). The cave only has on entrance to it. The cave was named after a Russian geographer named Alexander Kruber. In Russian the cave is called the Voronya Cave. Voronya Cave translated into English is Crows' Cave.

In this cave there are many different minerals. At the top of the cave there are minerals such as Tithonian and Kimmeridigan- Oxfordian cherity limestones. Those are the main type of minerals at the top of the cave. In the middle of the cave there is Bajocian. That is also a limestone. There are many other minerals but that is the main one. Other minerals may include Barremium, Cretaceous, and Aptian- Cenomanian limestones.

Many teams visit this cave every year.  This cave provides challenges for teams. Many teams explore this cave to break records such as how deep they can go. It takes hours and days  for teams to really get deep into the cave. This cave also helps geologists study the inside of the cave.  By exploring the cave geologists learn new stuff that can be useful. Overall this cave is both challenging and important.
