There are places of worship, a museum where people go to look at great
art, and a commercial center. Each one of them shares a moment in architectural
history and in the history of the world. As long as man has needed a place
for work, entertainment, and a place to call home, there has been architecture.
Architect and style come together to give man the tools they will need
to live. The architects become mathematicians, authors, and artists. Where
the names of the architects may not be known, the building is created by
many people working together for a common purpose. We now invite you to
come on an journey through the history of these buildings to discover the
beauty, the culture and how these buildings were brought to life. From
the Wells Cathedral in England to Chartres Cathedral located in Chartres,
France to the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, Spain, and the Petronas
Towers in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, these buildings are a living timeline
of architectural history.
