• Question: When my child tries to pull up the courses, it is blank.

Answer: Make sure that he/she is logged in using his/her Student number and the password learn. If he/she doesn’t remember the number, have the child copy the number from his/her library card or lunch card.  Students in grades 1-5 should have courses assigned.
 

• Question: I have two students using the program. How is the system setting the learning paths for each child? I’m not getting prompted to Log-in a student.

Answer: Each child will login with his/her own unique number. Each login is associated with courses the students receive.

• Question: When I try to run the courses, a white box comes up.

Answer: If you have a pop-up blocker on your computer, you will need to disable the blocker by allowing pop-ups from this site or holding down the control key as you launch the course.

• Question:  I am using XP and SuccessMaker will not run on my computer.

Answer:  You must download and run this batch file in order for SuccessMaker to work.  Right Click to download batch file

• Question:  My child clicks on a course but it will not work.

Answer: Make sure that you are allowing pop- ups and that you have the proper CD for the course inserted in your CD drive.  If you want to do Math Concepts and Skills, then you will need to place the Math Concepts and Skills CD in your computer.  Your child will only be able to run the courses assigned by the teacher.

• Question: I want to see my child’s information; however, results manager is not an option when I log on. The only options are classroom and quickstart.

Answer: You are logged in as a student - login with your username and password.

• Question: When I go online to generate a report, nothing shows up except an empty blue box and a window, which tells me to click the icon if I am done viewing the non-existent report.

Answer: Check to see if you have a pop up blocker installed. The report does "popup" in it's own window. Turn off the popup blocker to view the report. Also, check to make sure that you are using Internet Explorer. You may have to download Crystal Smart Viewer for ActiveX. http://www.softpile.com/Development/Databases_and_Networks/Download_19906_1.html

• Question: What are the hardware system requirements for the At Home user?

Answer: You can find the system requirements for SuccessMaker Enterprise located on Pearson Digital Learning’s Website: http://www.pearsondigital.com/support/requirements/successmaker.cfm

• Question: If a family moves to another county in Georgia (or another state), can the family still use the At Home Kit?

Answer: Because the At Home Kits used by students are provided subject to Gwinnett’s SuccessMaker Enterprise license agreement, the At Home Kits may be used only within the Gwinnett school district.

• Question: When the parent returns the checked out At Home Kit to the school, must the parent uninstall the installation file from the parent’s computer?

Answer: Not unless the parent wishes to remove it. Courses cannot be run without the courseware CDs provided in the At Home Kit, even if the installation file remains on the computer.

• Question: If a parent has more than one computer at home that their child uses, does the parent need to put the installation file on the other computer(s)?

Answer: Yes, the installation file will need to be installed on each computer.

• Question: If a parent has two children using SuccessMaker Enterprise At Home, can both children work on the system using individual computers at the same time?

Answer: Yes, if the installation is completed on each computer and each student has a username, password, and has been assigned courses by his/her teacher or LSTC as long as they don’t need the same CD.

• Question: If a parent has a middle school student in the Gwinnett County school system, can the student use SuccessMaker Enterprise At Home?

Answer: SuccessMaker Enterprise is not part of the instructional plan for middle school students.

• Question: How do I see my child’s information? The Results Manager is not an option when I log-on. The only options are the Classroom and QuickStart interfaces.

Answer: You are logged in as a student. Log in with your parent username and password.

• Question: If my child is working in Foundation courses, will he be able to access other courses (ExploreWare) when using SuccessMaker Enterprise At Home?
