When creating a document in Google, the beauty is that 1) it is accessible anywhere you can access the web, and 2) You can share and collaborate with others on the document AT THE SAME TIME. You want to make sure the document/sheet/slide/form/file is shared with the correct people. There are directions on sharing a document, and another document that shows the various groups available WITHIN Google. If you see a person that is needed in a group, or needs to be withdrawn from a group, please let Keri know. Also if there is a need for a particular group
Remember if you would like assistance with creating widgets in Google to embed in Google, please let me know. If your entire grade level uses the same I Can or Newsletter or Homework, we can set it up for all pages and just one person needs to update it each month. I'll be glad to help you get started with this so you can keep your eClass page updated easier and more frequently.
There are many times when we need to create our own group in Lotus Notes. Maybe it is for our parents so we can communicate with them, certain volunteers that come to the school, or any other needs. John has typed up directions for you, and I have created a video for you. Please refer to them when needed.
Remember that the midyear test is still open. Please make sure your students finish the midyear, or finish the retake if you have re-assigned it to them. On a brighter note, the current data shows that we are well on our way to make more than a years worth of growth! I know it is hard to see the positives at times when scores are low, and students are still performing below grade level, but THEY ARE LEARNING!! At mid year the "Progress toward Targeted Growth" (shown in graph below) should be around 50%. ALL grade levels are above that!!!
