Looking for documentation about the cameras? There is an entire C&I page with tons of resources. The name of the page is Transform eClass PD.
Did you know that if you have a Gwinnett County Public Library card you can have free access to literally thousands of online tutorials? You can learn more about software programs like Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Google Drive, Photoshop, or topics like computer security and photography and a host of other things. You can even get certificates showing what you have completed if you go through an entire Learning Path for becoming a programmer or photographer, or other subjects.
If you don't live in Gwinnett County, you can go to the library and show your GCPS ID to get a library card so you have access to these valuable resources.

Regularly assigned lab times began this week. You can also sign up for any extra lab time. Remember that you can use this time to best meet your instructional purposes including eClass, ClassWorks, or any other research and projects you may be doing in class. If you need or want assistance teaching a technology based lesson with your students, please sign up for a time on Keri's schedule.
It has been nearly 4 years since we received our retrofit and the original laptops in our classrooms and those original laptops are all out of warranty. Unfortunately there is not a schedule yet for the next elementary retrofit. Therefore we need to make sure we care of them to make them last.
Please make sure the laptops are not picked up by the screen. We are seeing a large number of laptops where the hinge is broken. This often happens from lifting or carrying from the screen or closing the laptop with something on the keyboard.
Also teach your students to be careful when inserting headphones and mice into the proper ports. This is another common breakage we see.
During full day plannings you have or will receive training to correctly configure the percentages for each category. This is a follow up to that training with reference to the documents that were shared used in the meeting.

Many of you have completed the benchmarks with your students. I am still checking each day to find students that need ILPs generated. Now that the students have finished the benchmarks, remember that they should spend at least 30 minutes in each subject each week.
You have been hearing for some time about cluster wide common assessments. Well, the time has come! Next week, September 5 - 8, you will need to complete the common assessment in Math and LA. 1 - 5 will take the LA assessment online and you may use your regular assigned lab time if you wish. There will not be a special schedule. Please be on the look out later this week for more detailed information about theses assessments.
Do you ever find yourself wanting to scan a document with a signature or have a real pdf instead of a picture file? Well CamScanner to the rescue. The free app allows you to load it on your phone, then use your camera app to take a picture of anything and turn it into a pdf file. You can then save it to your phone or immediately send it via text or e-mail etc. Read more about the great features at their website.
