There are times when it is most convenient to see two browser windows at the same time. You may want one open for information to read and research and the other as a Google doc or Word document for taking notes. Below shows you what the screen will look like. Here are directions on how to accomplish this.
Many internet/browsing issues can be solved by clearing the cache in the browser. Here are directions.
Also, as you put in tickets, John has written up directions on what is the best way to complete the information so he can help you in the best and time efficient manner.
The beauty of Google is the collaboration piece. When you can have a single document that you know is always the latest version, you know you don't have to waste time making sure you are on the right version. When you create or have a Google Document, you can choose to give another person rights to view or edit the document. Follow these directions to give correct rights to others.
All certified staff members have been given access to the GCPS Mobile network. This does NOT include your students. Please read the first document from John about which network to choose and other guidelines etc. The second document is from the county on how to configure your device for the network. County policy is that TSTs don't work on personal devices so you need to read the document carefully to connect your device to the network.
When grade books were originally set up by the county, the category for DA was added, but there was no weight or percentage added. You will need to change the weights to give DAs 2 % for Reading and Math if you are a 1st - 5th grade teacher. 3rd - 5th grade teachers also need to do it for Science and Social Studies. Follow these written directions.
As the weeks go on and you have more and more grades in your gradebook, it is more difficult to see the assignments on the right side of your screen. You can always use the browser zoom (Ctrl + -) to zoom out and see more, but you can also change the order of the assignments so that the newest assignment is at the beginning, next to the name, and the oldest is to the far right. Follow these directions to change the order or your assignments.
