DA's will begin on Thursday, March 9 and continue through Thursday, March 23. Russ sent out the schedule, it is also linked here. It will soon appear on the lab schedule as well. This means labs are closed for regular assigned times during those dates. NO laptop carts are automatically signed up for DAs. If you use them with small group you need to make sure you sign up for them.
With more and more people signing into Google, many are forgetting to sign out and people forget how to choose another account. Occasionally no matter what you try, it won't let you enter another account. This is when you need to clear the browser history. Please follow these steps on how to clear the browser history.
Wendy has been hard at work creating your grade level assessments. Various widgets have or can be created to add to your eClass page for quick access to the tool you are using like Quiz.izz or Formative, etc. If you need assistance completing the assessment with your class, please sign up for one of us, Wendy, Deb or I, to help you implement it with your students. The goal is for you to learn a new tool that will help you in the long run. Let us teach you how great these tools can be.
More and more of you are using Google with your students. Remember that all 3rd - 5th grade students have their own accounts. If you would like cards printed with their login information, please submit a ticket and I will be glad to do it. Also, if you would like a shareable folder set up so the students' work is automatically shared with you, please put in a ticket as well. We have a script that can be run logged in as you and very quickly you will have access to all documents they create.
There are some cute If you give a moose a muffin and Tacky the Penguin breakout that can be K - 2 with some modification. The fossil one for 3rd grade just needs one tweak and will be even better for 3rd grade. Simple machines is ready for 4th grade. 5th grade I need to know some content areas to do some research for you.
Do you have a lesson coming up where you really want the students to share? Maybe they will be reading their writings in the room? Qball is a fun way to get them to participate. It is a throw-able microphone. We used it in Mrs. Miniscalco's class on Friday for debriefing their breakout and they loved it! The school doesn't own it, so you need to sign up for me if you want to use it. If it is a big hit, maybe the school can buy one or two!
