There will be another digital learning opportunity on the school landing page over spring break. Please encourage your students to participate in this activity. You may encourage them by rewarding with a sticker or candy when they return if they completed the activity. This is a great way to not only keep them engaged in learning over spring break, but also to get them using the C&I tool more.
As stated last week, the conversion charts and much more have been moved from the assessment area of the portal to the newly released Teacher Accountability and Assessment Resource Center in the C&I tool. You will find the DA blueprints, information about Milestones and SPGs as well. Here are the directions that were sent out last week.
Just released from Google to Google Docs is the ability to change type to All Caps, No Caps, and Title Caps.
When in a Doc, highlight the text you want to change, then go to Format, and then choose Capitalization. From there choose lowercase, UPPERCASE or Title Case.
This is a great tool for changing the wording to a simpler vocabulary for our ESOL students and struggling readers. Here is a great introductory video for the various ways of using rewordify. You can copy sections of text, or put in an entire website.

Just a heads up that two of the laptop carts will be used for test prep the Tuesday - Thursday when we return from spring break. Also, testing will be using ALL labs, A, B, C, D & Mini. It is still undetermined if any laptop carts need to be used. We will let you know as soon as possible.
