Do you use YouTube a lot and want to use it in eClass but tired of it being blocked for students? Well Video Grabby can be a help. Find the link to the video you want, Go to videograbby.com and paste the link. It will give you an mp4 video file you can now embed in a SMARTboard Notebook or in eClass. There is no software to download in order to run it. It really is that easy! There are adult ads at the bottom of the website, so please don't use this in front of children.
When you have conferences with your parents next week, it is a great time to verify contact information, get e-mail addresses, and have them sign up for the Parent Portal. They can visit the Parent Center to sign up for the Portal. Remember there is no report that shows e-mail addresses. It may be helpful to have them write them on a sheet, or type them in the computer so you can get more accurate information. I have created a Google form if you would like to use it. I will put a button on the intranet page and you can have a laptop up for parents to quickly complete so we can get typed addresses instead of written ones.
You have probably noticed that when you go to print a report you get a little white flag in the notifications area and the report never prints. The county is aware of the problem and working with the vendor to fix the issue. Until that time when it is fixed, you can still print reports by going into the report interface. This does NOT affect the Gradebook reports. Directions are posted here for how to run Class lists etc with the report interface. Don't forget to select just yourself as the teacher or you will get all the classes in the school.
