When in your browser, sometimes you can't see all you need to see from a pop up window etc, or the type is too big or too small. You can press Control and the plus sign (Ctrl++) to get bigger or Control and the minus sign (Ctrl+-) to get smaller. It is also helpful when your eyes are tired and you just want a larger font:-)
With the large amount of e-mail we get each day, it is sometimes nice for those "really important people" to pop out at us (administrators, grade chairs, grade level members, etc.). You may choose your administrator, or your grade chair to assign a highlight color in Lotus Notes. When the e-mail comes in, the line will be highlighted the color you choose. See image below.
DA testing begins on Friday, October 7 in all labs. Please check the online lab schedule for the latest updates. All regularly scheduled lab times are canceled October 7 through October 21. There are some open slots so feel free to check out the schedule and reserve a spot.
You are probably aware of a company called Google. For years they have had a suite of applications for schools called Google Apps for Education or GAFE. Just last week they changed their name to G Suite. We are a G Suite school and now are ready to implement it with all of our staff. The beauty of G Suite is the collaboration piece and the access from anywhere you have internet access. So how will we be expected to use it here at LES? Lab sign ups will now be via Google. No longer do you have to be on your Lotus Notes to submit a lab request. Follow these directions on how to sign up for a lab, laptop cart, Osmo, etc. We will also begin using it for shared documents across grade levels and across the school. Next week we will begin that piece in Math PLC. The Mustang Messenger is now sent out via G Suite Docs as well as the new and withdrawn students. The possibilities are endless! Here are directions for setting up your school account for the first time. If you need assistance, of course I will be glad to help, but there are already many users in the building. All ESOL and special education teachers are currently using it. Feel free to "phone a friend" if you need some extra help.
No, not the doodle with a pen or pencil on paper but scheduling online at Doodle.com. In today's busy life we are often times trying to coordinate schedules with others for a time to meet. Doodle allows you to set up an event with multiple options for days and times. You then send it to your friends and co-workers and they select when they are available. You can visually see who is available when and which day and time is the best option.
