Remember Progress reports are to be printed TODAY and go home on Friday. You do NOT have to have Interims in before you print.
Here is the same information that has gone out the last couple of weeks.
1) What is the date the reports will go home?
October 20 (as stated on Advance Planner)
2) When is the date for actually printing the reports so we have the "same snapshot" of grades.
3) Do Interim (DAs) grades need to be in before they go home?
4) Is Kindergarten still using GKids reports to send home?
5) Teachers will print progress reports - which version?
Summary progress report with category detail (see image below for options) -Yes is parent signature needed? No
6) Teachers do NOT need to print copies of the progress reports for perm records.
All interims must be completed AND in the grade book by Friday. You will use the category 9 wk DA. Remember to score any constructed response questions directly in Schoolnet in order to get accurate scores for the students.
Reminders from Russ:
If a grade 3 or 4 science or social studies Interim assessment is given online in Schoolnet, then teachers must score the constructed response item in Schoolnet. Failure to do this, may result in the loss of student responses.
For paper administration, constructed response scores can be entered into Schoolnet. Directions can be found here.
With the recent redesign of the school intranet, you have really improved usage of C&I. Take a look at the graphs below. the first graph shows Teacher Usage over the last 4 weeks. We are the blue column. The second graph shows student usage. Look at that improvement! Way to Go!!!! Continue using the two buttons on the intranet, the green eClass "man" for the students, and the Lilburn Mustang Logo for teachers.
Please make sure you gather anything you sent to print before you leave. We are repeatedly finding things on the printers that have no home and end up just wasting supplies. All labs have multiple printers so be sure to check them all before you think your stuff didn't print. If you see the orange light flashing on the front of the printer and don't know what to do, please find someone to assist you. It could be wrong paper settings, out of toner, or a multitude of other options.
Do you like to use videos with your students but sometimes think they get lost in all the content when watching on their own via eClass? Well, EdPuzzle may be your answer. You can load a video, then have it pause at certain points to quiz the students or just check in on their thinking. Check it out! I'm sure you can find some great uses for it. If you need/want some assistance the first time, just let one of us know!
