Software programs should all be up and running. If you find a student that needs to be added to iReady, Reading Eggs or MathSeeds, please let me know.
If you want your class to use Discovery Education, Google Apps, or MyBrainPop, please let me know since those are each set up on a class by class basis.
We need your help. When putting in a ticket, please give DETAILS!! There are never too many details. Instead of saying "security error when visiting website", please tell which browser you are using, which site you are trying to visit, and a screenshot or full details of the error message. Instead of saying "... software program won't work", please tell which program you are using and on which computer, desktop, or laptop, wired or wireless, and the exact message you are receiving. Those details save John valuable time as he troubleshoots the issues.
There are still lots we are learning about Synergy and the TeacherVue. I will be giving various updates during the full day planning sessions. Here is one report you may find helpful. If you want a blank gradesheet, Go to reports from the Gradebook screen and choose Blank Gradebook. You will get the blank check lines you like with the tall headers for writing assignments etc. Unfortunately there is no way to add the student ID to that report. If you want a list of your students with student ID, you can leave for a sub or just have handy when going to the labs etc, you may customize the Class List (no check boxes/columns) or Class Roster reports. Directions for the Class Roster report are here.
Do you use Hypersnap a lot to capture your screen or parts of your screen? If you want to capture just a region of your screen use the keyboard shortcut of Ctrl+shift+R. This will allow you to choose a region of the screen to save as a graphic file. This is great for capturing error messages you want to attach to a ticket for John. Hypersnap must be open for this to work.
We don't have many more of the classroom headphones. PLEASE make sure you teach your students to respect the property and take care of the headphones. Also, when in the lab, media center etc, please make sure you check the volume settings on the computer and headphones before assuming they aren't working. Ask your students to be patient when troubleshooting and be careful with plugging them in and out. We have several laptops that need the system board replaced due to the way people are plugging them in and out.
